"The Dinner was attended by the Governor of Tasmania, His Excellency Bill Cox, the Catholic Archbishop of Hobart Adrian Doyle, the Premier the Hon Paul Lennon, the leader of the Government in the Tasmanian Legislative Council Mr. Doug Parkinson all of whom are old boys of the college.  The Governor's speech was brilliant, extremely witty and very well received.

 

Heritage Roll of Honour Awards were presented to the Hon Doug Lowe, Peter Toogood, Father Michael Tate, Brother Jack Higgins, Richard Cogswell, Brigadier Michael Crane, Sean Clingleffer, and Tony Fletcher.

 

There were two deceased old boys also awarded-Sir John Galvin and Harold Gatty."
